I have been a successful practicing lawyer since 1999 when I was called to the Bucharest Bar. My experience and practice in Romania comprises of advising clients of their legal rights and matters related to law; acting as mediator and conciliator; negotiating settlements of civil and commercial disputes; pleading clients’ cases before courts of law, tribunals and boards all the way up to the Supreme Court.
In 2007 I immigrated to Canada and had the desire to further my studies. Because Canada is constitutionally bijural as a result of its unique heritage, I aimed to understand and appreciate the full richness of Canada’s diverse legal traditions. Therefore, I went on to Law School at the University of Ottawa, Civil Law Program, where I graduated in 2013.
In 2014, I graduated from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, Common Law Program. Following my Call to the Ontario Bar in 2015, I opened my practice. Since then, I have represented clients at all levels of the Ontario Superior Court. My clients range from spouses involved in real estate transactions to individuals embroiled in civil or commercial disputes.
I am committed to helping my community in the very place I am calling home. I am fully bilingual and proud to practice law in both official languages.
When I am not in court, at the office, or doing Pro Bono work, I enjoy a “spoken coffee” with my husband in a picturesque small town near Ottawa. When I find myself nostalgic of the seaside seashore beaches, sound of the sea’s waves and calling of the seagulls, I know it is time for a vacation.
I am a member in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada and the County of Carleton Law Association.
